Financial Information
If your family has dental insurance coverage, please have your dental insurance information ready and available when you arrive at your dental visit. Also, please keep us informed of any recent changes to your dental insurance plan or plans. Our helpful staff will review your dental benefits on your behalf and we have worked with most dental insurance carriers as an out of network provider for almost all dental insurance companies.
What does this mean for you as a patient? If your insurance has no limitations on seeking care from any dentist of your choosing, then our office can simply bill your dental insurance on your behalf for the services we provide. However, you are responsible for the fees charged by the office, regardless of the type of insurance coverage. Additionally, you or an authorized responsible party is required to cover any difference in fees that your dental insurance does not cover. Any credit from your insurance company will be paid to you or placed in your patient account. Our office collects deductibles and/or estimated co-payments on the day services are provided. As a courtesy to you, our office will submit your dental insurance claim, or super bill, electronically.
We accept cash, checks, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), flexible spending accounts (FSA), or health savings accounts (HSA).
We know that trying to understand dental insurance is confusing. Please feel free to contact our office staff with your questions.
Our office will do our best to work with you and your family to maximize their available dental benefits.
What does “out of network” mean?
“Out-of-Network” simply means that our office is not contracted with any dental insurance plans. What this means for you is that our office not bound to the limitations and care restrictions that are often imposed upon in-network dental offices and providers. In some cases, if there is a difference between Our Office Fees and the Allowable Fees set by your dental insurance, or any non-covered dental benefit, you then would be responsible for the cost difference.
Our office has always maintained a high standard of care and broad options for our patients. To be clear, our office is not anti-insurance, but “pro-patient” in ensuring we are not limited by what insurance companies choose to cover. We want what is best for you, our patients, and our treatment recommendations are based solely on that. As an out-of-network provider, our office is able to recommend and provide the best possible care for you and your family without the limitations of an insurance company.
